Tennis

Born in: San Candido (TN) on August 16, 2001

From a young age, Jannik Sinner displayed an uncommon energy and passion for sport. After starting out on skis, it was with a pole in his hand that he began to write his own story.

At seven years old, she discovered tennis and fell madly in love with it. Her talent exploded in 2018, when she began competing in ITF and Challenger tournaments. Her first victory in Bergamo marked the beginning of a rise that astonished the tennis world.

In 2019 , with a wild card at the Italian Open, he won his first ATP match. But it was his triumph at the Next Gen ATP Finals in Milan that thrust him into the spotlight: talent, maturity, and composure combined in an explosive mix.

In 2020, he reached the quarterfinals at Roland Garros, facing Nadal. Despite the defeat, his performance confirmed his enormous potential. He closed the year with his first ATP title in Sofia, becoming the youngest Italian to do so in decades.

2021 is the year of confirmations: final at the Miami Masters 1000, two more ATP titles and a stable entry into the world top 20.

In 2022, he reached the quarterfinals of three Grand Slams (Wimbledon, Australian Open, and US Open). In 2023, he was the key player in Italy's historic Davis Cup victory after 47 years, in addition to winning four more ATP titles.

2024 was the year of definitive consecration. In a crescendo of successes, Sinner won the Australian Open and became the first Italian in history to reach world number one . Another extraordinary triumph came in September: Jannik also won the US Open at Flushing Meadows, completing a dream year.

He continues to dominate in 2025. Sinner triumphs once again at the Australian Open and reaches the finals at Roland Garros and the Italian Open. His determination, ability to improve, and mental strength confirm him as one of the most respected and feared champions on the tour.

July 13, 2025, is a date that will remain etched in history: Jannik Sinner becomes the first Italian to win the Wimbledon Gentlemen's Singles Trophy , in 138 years. The first to attempt was Gino De Martino, in 1911.

On November 16, 2025 in Turin he won the Nitto ATP Finals for the second year in a row , a tournament reserved for the best tennis players in the world.
